My name is Aahana Patel and I am a grade 10 student at Stephen Lewis Secondary School. I am super intrigued by space exploration and have recently been interested in machine learning and AI. This passion started from a very young age for me, after I won a local hackathon. I was not only introduced to 3D design and coding, but was also able to learn about IOT for the first time.
I was recently accepted into The Knowledge Society, the world's top innovation program for youth. Innovating and creating new products has always been an interest for me, and will continue to grow with the help of this accelerator program.
I have been learning the classical dance form of Bharatanatyam for about 6 years now, and will soon be completing my debut performance.
I have experience with 3D design using Autodesk Inventor, and I am also proficient in Python. I was recently accepted into The Headstarter AI SWE Fellowship, and I am hoping to reach my Track A goal of generating $1000 in revenue. The highlight of this fellowship so far has definitely been the AI Mock Interview, which has brought many learning opportunities.

I was given the honour of speaking on stage at this large event, and this marked a very memorable moment in my life. This was my first speech in a theatre and I will never forget the experience.
I won the Best Overall Engineering Project in the Jr. Division at this local hackathon, for my idea of using IOT to create a wind turbine that generates energy by cars passing by on a busy highway.
I am nearing the end of my dance training, and will soon perfom my debut perfomance in a theatre.
I have volunteered at many places across Canada, including Hack The North, Sri Sanskriti Dance Academy, City of Mississauga, and UCMAS.
I have recieved Distinction in the Gr. 8 Gauss Waterloo Math Competition and the School Champion Award for the Gr. 9 Fryer Waterloo Math Competition. I also have a strong background in math, having graduated from the UCMAS math program in 2021.
From a young age, I had started swimming competitivly, and after COVID-19, I started lifesaving. I currently hold a certification in Standard First Aid and CPR-C.
